What does the standard package include?
Initial Consultation
You should feel totally comfortable with the celebrant you are booking, which is why I offer a free, no-obligation consultation with you before you decide. This can be done via Skype, FaceTime or on the phone, but my preference is to meet face to face, if possible. Ideally this will be at your chosen venue for your celebration but if that is not possible, then we can meet at a mutually convenient venue. After this meeting I will hold the date of your service for 10 days so that you have plenty of time to decide before taking the final step of signing a contract and paying a deposit.
Planning Meeting
Once I’m in receipt of your signed contract and deposit, I will schedule a planning meeting with you. This meeting normally happens in person and where possible at the venue so that we can look at the room layout etc. However, during these strange times of COVID, we can also carry out this meeting via video or phone call if that is your preference. During the meeting I want to get to know you and understand what is important to you as well as what you want to have included in your ceremony. This information will help me to write the script and make sure it reflects the ceremony you want.
The meeting is designed to cover three things:
All about you – the background that has led to this ceremony
The ceremony itself – what you want to have included
The venue – the best layout for the day
Ceremony Editing
Following the planning meeting, I will write a draft of your ceremony and email it to you for your review. You can revise your draft ceremony as much as you like until it is the exact wording you want. I want it to feel perfect for you – if you need additional suggestions or guidance, I will be at the end of the phone or email to help you.
The Ceremony
I will arrive at your venue early on the day to make sure everything is ready. I am more than happy to work with your event planner (if you are using one) and your photographer. I am comfortable with photographers taking pictures anywhere they would like during the ceremony, as long as they remember it is your ceremony and not theirs. I will deliver the exact ceremony we’ve discussed and create a wonderful experience for you and your guests.
Souvenir
After your special day I will send you a copy of the script as a souvenir for you to keep. I want to create a ceremony with you to make your day special.
